Ahmad Siddiqi, his wife and their children fled to the United States last year following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan. Ahmad served as an interpreter to the U.S. overseas for 19 years. During his duties as an interpreter he met
Army veteran, Scott Henkel. Scott worked alongside his wife, Broomfield City Councilwoman Heidi Henkle, to start a community effort helping the family start their new life in America. This was an important cause to our General Manager, Deck Hughes, who donated half the cost of a Toyota Highlander.
We would like to extend a special thanks and welcome the Siddiqi family to Colorado!
